Start by cutting a paper plate in half for the turkey feathers.

Pour small amounts of red, orange, yellow, and green paint onto a palette, and let the kids use sponge brushes to dab and paint the feathers. Set the plate aside to dry.

For the turkey’s face, trace and cut a circle from brown construction paper using a jar lid.

Make a small orange triangle for the beak and a red waddle from construction paper.

Glue the beak and waddle onto the brown circle, then attach googly eyes above the beak.

Once the feathers are dry, glue the brown face circle onto the bottom of the plate. Let the turkey craft dry completely before displaying!

For more fun, encourage your kids to try different patterns and color combinations to make their turkey one-of-a-kind.

For added texture, use various sponge brushes or crumpled paper to apply the paint.

Also, if googly eyes aren’t available, simply cut small circles from white paper and draw black dots for eyes.
