Valentine Luminary Materials You’ll Need
Gather all the materials needed for this tutorial:
- plain candle jar
- white glue
- red glitter
- paint brush
- cutter
- ½ cm. in width satin red or maroon ribbon
- duct tape
- scissors
- hot glue

How to Make Valentine Luminary
Step 1: Hot glue the red or maroon satin ribbon around the mouth of the plain glass candle jar. Make sure to carefully wrap the ribbon around the edges of the mouth to ensure that every inch is glued on it.

Step 2: Cut several number of squares from the duct tape and cut a heart shape in the middle of each of the duct tape. Randomly stick the heart on the external walls of the glass candle jar. The shape of the heart should be randomly-sized as well for better results.
Step 3: The candle jar should look like this when the heart duct tapes are placed.
Step 4: Carefully paint the white glue on the heart holes on the duct tapes. The white glue should be evenly placed on the holes so that the glitters would not clump at all.
Step 5: Generously sprinkle the red glitters on the heart holes while the white glue is still wet. Do this on all the heart holes.

Step 6: Let the glitter adhere on the glass candle jar for an hour or two.
Step 7: Carefully remove the duct tape from the walls of the glass candle jar using a pointed or sharp object like the cutter. This will prevent the glitters from sticking out of the candle jar.
Step 8: Clean the blank spaces of the candle jar with a dry and clean paint brush. This will remove the unnecessary glitters that are sticking around the body of the jar. Take note that the heart glitters should not be touched at all, since it can cause some fall off when heavily applied with a force on top of it.
Step 9: You can now place the tea light in the middle of the heart candle jar.
Step 10: Light the tea light up in your Valentine luminary and set up the mood.
