Can Guacamole Go Bad
Yes, guacamole can go bad. Signs of spoilage include:
- Brown or Gray Color – While some browning is natural due to oxidation, excessive discoloration may indicate spoilage.
- Off Smell – A sour or rancid odor means the guacamole is no longer safe to eat.
- Mold Growth – Any visible mold or fuzzy spots mean it should be discarded.
- Watery Texture – If the guacamole becomes excessively watery or slimy, it has likely gone bad.
To keep guacamole fresh longer, store it in an airtight container with plastic wrap pressed directly onto the surface and refrigerate.

It typically lasts 1–3 days in the fridge before spoiling.
