  • 1 1/2 cups Musselman's Apple Butter
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

    1. Heat oven to 350 F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper or silpat liner.

  1. How many whoopie pies does this make?

  2. The picture in your recipe does not match what my whoopie pies look like. How did you get yours so thick/puffed up? Mine turned out flat. I followed the recipe to the T.

    1. Well, overmixing your batter when adding the dry ingredients can result in a flatter whoopie. When mixing in the dry ingredients make sure to mix them just until combined.

      Also, use room temperature butter.
