This fun holographic rainbow slime recipe comes from some of my favorite kid activity bloggers. They generously sent me their latest book so I could check it out for myself.

Holographic Rainbow Slime
Three-dimensional rainbows of color you can hold in your hand: that is what this slime is all about!!!
I’m really pleased to share one of the recipes from this amazing book with you today!
Ingredients for Holographic Rainbow Slime
- 1 (5-oz [147-ml]) bottle clear school glue
- ½ cup (120-ml) water
- 2 tbsp (48 g) holographic powder or glitter
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) white acrylic paint
- ½ tsp (2 g) baking soda
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) saline solution (make sure it says buffered on the package)
Equipment
- Bowl
- Spoon
What You Do
Pour the glue, water, powder or glitter, paint and baking soda into a bowl, and mix up the solution until it is well combined.
Add the saline solution a little at a time, stirring with each addition, until the mixture starts to pull away from the bowl.
Take out the goopy, shiny slime, and place it on a flat surface.

Okay, now you can play with your holographic slime!
Tips: Use glow-in-the-dark paint instead of white paint to see the sparkles even when it’s dark. It’s such a fun way to play with this slime.
Store in an airtight container. This slime should be made under adult supervision with younger children. And most certainly, do not eat!Â
