Supplies You’ll Need

• (4) Paper plates
• Acrylic paint (pink, green, purple, and blue)
• Paintbrush or foam brush
• Pencil
• Scissors
• Stapler
• Glue
• Cupcake liners (assorted) regular and mini sizes
• White and black construction paper

How to Make Paper Plate Fish

1. Gather plates, acrylic paint and paintbrush or foam brush.

2. Apply a layer of acrylic paint to the back of each paper plate. Let dry completely.

3. On the non-painted side of the paper plate draw a “V” with a pencil. Cut out the “V” this will become the mouth and tail of the fish.

4. Use a stapler or glue to attach the fish’s tail to the opposite side of the mouth.

5. Take a cupcake liner and flatten it out, fold it once, and then fold it again. Place the folded cupcake liner “scales” in your chosen order and design securing each of them with glue. Continue until half the fish is covered in cupcake liner “scales.”

6. Next cut out two circles from the black and white construction paper to make an eye. Secure the black smaller circle to the white slightly larger circle with glue. Then glue the eye to the fish.
