Recycled Art Project

I particularly love this art project because it gives new life to the milk jugs and reduces the need to purchase new materials.

Milk jugs are a common household item that can have a significant impact on the environment.

Recycling and reusing milk jugs can reduce the amount of waste in landfills, and the recycled plastic can be used to make new products.

Note: An adult needs to use the x-acto knife. I do not ever recommend children handling this sharp cutting tool!

How to Make Milk Jug Bunny Craft

Draw a black line around the milk jug where you’d like to have the opening for the basket.

Using the X-acto knife cut around the black line and discard the plastic that you do not need.

Glue the googly eyes on the front of the milk carton. Then, glue the pom pom nose under the eyes. Set aside to dry.

Draw bunny whiskers and a mouth using the black permanent marker.

Fold each sheet of construction paper in half. Draw a larger white ear and a smaller pink ear. Cut out. You’ll have two sets for each color.

Glue the pink portion of the ear in the center of the white portion and allow to dry. Assemble the ears with glue on the back portion of the milk carton.
