Valentine Home Decor Banner Free Printable
Don’t you just love Valentine’s Day? As I’ve gotten older, the meaning of it has changed for sure.
I’m happy to be an old married person on Valentine’s Day now (read why).
But the best thing about getting older is getting to celebrate Valentine’s Day with my kiddos.
When I was younger, I didn’t decorate for Valentine’s Day.
But with kids in the mix, it’s a fun break from the freezing winter weather (which has been in the single digits, not counting the wind chill factor here in Chicagoland).
The warmth of Valentine’s Day pushes out the dreary gray days we have in our part of the world.
One thing I haven’t decorated with some good old Valentine home decor is our mantle.

I don’t know why…. I just haven’t gotten there yet! But this year, that’s changing.
I’m bringing you a free printable Valentine banner that you can easily create for your own home.
Directions for Printable Valentine Banner
Materials (affiliate):
- Card Stock
- Good Scissors (or an Exacto knife)
- Color Printer
- Twine, String or Ribbon
- Hole Puncher or Glue
Directions:
Step 1: Print out the banner on your card stock.
Step 2: Cut out the individual letters for the banner.
Step 3: If you’re going to thread the banner together, punch a hole in each corner of the letter cutouts.

Step 4: String your letters together, either using the holes you punched into each cutout or by using a glue gun to adhere to string to the back of the cutout.
If you’re using string, which is my personal preference, you can easily change the look and feel of the banner just by changing the string you’re using.
Using twine gives your banner a more rustic feel.
Ribbon will give it an additional pop of color and string will add a touch of homemade to the look.

Step 5: String up above your mantle place, in your child’s room or anywhere else you need some Valentine home decor fun.
