- 2 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon cloves
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons water (optional)
- 1 cup powered sugar (optional)
How to Make Cinnamon Sugar Cookie Recipe
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, sugar, brown sugar, and egg to form a dough. If it feels too dry, add a little water. Shape the dough into a log, wrap in parchment paper, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Roll out the dough and cut into shapes with cookie cutters. Arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes. Let the cookies cool on a rack, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.
