These button cookies can be made for any holiday, just change the candy decoration on top and ta-da — easy sweets for Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day and even Easter.

And trust me, these treats are kid tested, dad approved.

Ingredients:

  1. Mini pretzels Mini pretzels (I used the twist kind but you can grab any shape)
  2. Hershey’s kisses
  3. Candy Corn

Directions:

Heat your oven to 200 degrees F. Cover a cookie sheet with aluminum foil in case any of the chocolate melts through.

Place the mini pretzels along the baking sheet. It really doesn’t matter how close you space them.

Place one chocolate kiss on top of each pretzel.

Place the cookie sheet in the oven for approximately 2-4 minutes or until the chocolate is warm enough to give to the touch but hasn’t visibly melted yet.

Remove from oven and place a single candy corn on top of each

Place in refrigerator or cool place to harden the chocolate. (If you’re making a lot and it’s chilly outside, you can cool them in the garage or outside, but someone has to stay on watch for squirrels!)

Enjoy!

I love this idea Jennifer! I will definitely make this on Halloween. We’re having a little party for our grandson…this would be perfect :).

Thanks for sharing the idea and for showing us how easy it is to make. I might need two bags of Hershey’s Kisses…those are my favorite ;).

Passing this on! Hope you’re having a great week!

Love this idea, but I think you meant to say put a candy kiss on top of the pretzel…not a candy corn? Pictures show the truth, but thought you’d like knowing your recipe reads wrong. (I just had that very thing happen to me at my blog this week!=)
