Unlike some other bees, they don’t lose their stinger and can sting multiple times, but they prefer to go about their work pollinating flowers rather than bothering people.
Are Bumblebees Pollinators
Yes, bumble bees are excellent pollinators!
They help plants grow by transferring pollen between flowers, which allows fruits, vegetables and other plants to produce seeds.

Their fuzzy bodies and ability to “buzz pollinate” make them especially good at pollinating crops like tomatoes, blueberries and peppers.
How Do Bumble Bees Nest
Bumble bees nest in hidden, cozy places like abandoned rodent burrows, under piles of leaves or inside hollow logs.
The queen starts the nest in spring, laying eggs that hatch into worker bees.

The workers then expand the nest, gather food and care for new bees throughout the summer.

Unlike honeybee hives, bumblebee nests are much smaller and only last for one season.

Paint the Craft Sticks: Paint three jumbo craft sticks yellow and five black, covering the front and sides to get started on your bumble bee craft. Let dry and apply a second coat if needed.

Assemble the Bee Body: Arrange two black sticks first, then alternate yellow and black sticks. Trim additional craft sticks to fit across the back and secure with hot glue.
Add the Face: Attach two wiggle eyes with hot glue. For cheeks, dab pink acrylic paint using a sponge.
Create the Wings: Print and cut out the wing template. Trace twice onto white glitter foam and cut inside the lines for a clean edge. You can also use cardstock or felt.
Attach Wings and Antennae: Glue the wings to the back. Bend a black chenille stem in half, curl the ends, and glue it to the top center as antennae.

Finish the Bee: Use a permanent marker to draw a smile from cheek to cheek.
