The correct spelling is “Berenstain Bears.” However, it’s a common occurrence for people to remember it as “Berenstein Bears,” likely due to the phonetic similarity and the way the name is pronounced.
This phenomenon is actually called the “Mandela Effect,” a term used to describe a collective misremembering of a fact or event, named after the widespread belief that Nelson Mandela died in prison in the 1980s, which is not true.

I will admit – I thought it was the Berenstein Bears until I started reading the books to my own boys and was surprised to see it was Berenstain!
