How to Make Sunflower Craft
Gather all your supplies and begin by measuring and cutting 16 jumbo craft sticks in half with scissors.
Basecoat the front and sides of the sticks with yellow acrylic craft paint, allowing them to dry completely before applying a second coat if needed.
Download and print the Craft Stick Sunflower Pattern, cutting out the sunflower center with scissors.
Trace the center onto brown craft foam, cut inside the traced lines for a clean finish, and set it aside. Alternatively, you can use heavyweight cardstock or cardboard instead of craft foam.

Attach half-sticks to the brown foam center using a glue gun, starting at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions.
Add four more sticks between these for a symmetrical base layer. Continue gluing additional half-sticks, filling the spaces until the sunflower is full of petals.
Once complete, flip the sunflower over and attach black buttons of various sizes to the center using a glue gun. If buttons aren’t available, substitute rhinestones, pom poms or punched paper dots.
For the stem and leaves, measure and cut one jumbo craft stick in half. Basecoat these pieces with light green acrylic paint, let them dry, and apply a second coat if necessary.

Attach the full green stick to the back of the sunflower as the stem, then glue the green half-sticks as leaves.
