St. Patrick’s Day Skittles Decorations

Right now these Skittles decorations are sitting on my mantle, but I have a feeling one of my boys will steal one soon enough for their room. Ha!

Thinking about St. Patrick’s Day decorations, I couldn’t help but think of rainbows, which then made me think of Skittles.

Who can resist the rainbow of colors?

To create something new, I thought it would be fun to create a pattern using them to create a rain decorations for the home as part of our St. Patricks Day crafts.

It’s that easy to make these fun and bright-colored Skittles decorations!

Tips in Creating Rainbow Skittles Decorations

For the twisted color cone, create one straight line of red from the top to bottom.

Then create an orange line of Skittles next to it.

As you work your way around the cone, it will naturally create a twisting pattern.

For the band of colors, begin at the top or bottom (your choice) and create a full ring around the cone.

Then create another band right next to it.

Don’t leave space between the bands.

Be sure to factor in the time it takes to separate the colors.

From start to finish, it probably took me an hour and a half to separate the Skittles and create the two cones.

Right now these colorful cones are displayed on my mantle, but I wouldn’t be surprised if one of the boys sneaks down to take one to their rooms!
