Shapes Sensory Bag Materials
Gather these simple materials to create a fun and interactive shapes sensory bag that helps your child explore shapes through hands-on play.
- 16 oz clear hair gel
- Plastic beads – multicolored
- Scissors
- Markers – colors that coordinate with the beads
- Zip-lock gallon-size baggie
- Packaging tape or colorful duct tape
- Alcohol swabs (or alcohol and cotton balls)
- White cardstock
- Shapes: star, heart, square, triangle and circle
How to Make Shapes Sensory Squish Bag
Take the alcohol swab and erase the product labeling or any writing.
Use shapes like cookie cutters and tops for jars to create shapes. Trace the shapes using the markers that correlate to the bead colors such as purple, pink, green, blue and orange.
Add 16 oz of clear hair gel to the ziplock baggie, then add 10 beads of each color bead.
Push all the air out of the plastic baggie. Seal the baggie and add the piece of cardstock to the back. Use packaging tape or duct tape to seal the bag and secure the cardstock in place.
