Do You Hear What I Hear? Support the Hear the World Foundation
Did you know that hearing loss affects 15% of the world’s population yet it receives little recognition or acknowledgement.
Plus, nearly half the cases are preventable.
In fact, about 660,000 children are born annually with significant hearing loss.
My kids have even experienced significant hearing loss over the years due to horrible ear infections that have required multiple round of tubes to help.
Hearing loss isn’t always obvious, especially when kids are young and can’t communicate what is going on.
Hear the World Fights Hearing Loss
Hear the World promotes projects that support children with hearing loss, to enable them to develop at an appropriate rate for their age and to give access to school education.
Since 2006, Hear the World has supported more than 50 projects across five continents and has already given countless people the chance of better hearing.
Through our personal experience, hearing loss has affected learning as well as speech. My youngest son needed speech therapy to begin talking.
