Say Goodbye to Fear of Missing Out #FOMO
Being a Work at Home Mom (WAHM), people sometimes think that I’m just taking it easy.
Hanging on the couch, chatting on the phone.
Honestly, I don’t know what they think I do.
But the moment my kids head off to school, I hit the pavement running.
I work hard while they’re gone because I want to be available and present when they come home.
I don’t want to miss a single moment with these kiddos.

Why? Because I have a fear of missing out #FOMO.
Because while parents often talk about the parties, school gatherings and soccer games as their highlights, it’s the simple, unexpected moments that make parenting awesome for me.
I love hanging out with the kids just playing a game.
The banter between my two boys absolutely cracks me up.
During these everyday moments, I see their personalities, learn their fears and worries and create a lasting bond with my kids.
And I don’t want to miss out! “Fear of Missing Out” is a powerful thing.
The other day, the kids wanted to go upstairs early to play a board game.
The last thing I want to say is “no” because I was under the weather.
There may be good reasons to miss time with the kids, but a headache — well, I absolutely refuse to accept that! And so should you.
No more sinus pressure headache.
Instead of lying on the couch feeling miserable, thanks to a quick trip to a pharmacy, I laughed with my kids at their silly dancing.
I listened to my son’s concern about getting braces (yep, that happened).
I curled up with my kiddos to read an extra bedtime story. It’s these uneventful moments that make parenting wonderful and create lasting memories.
