It’s also been used for weight control, to quell nausea, and support the immune system.

Golden Milk Recipe

One of the hot drinks gaining major popularity in recent years is golden milk.

You might also see it called turmeric milk, turmeric latte, or haldi doodh.

Although it may seem new to you, it’s been a part of Indian culture for centuries — and for good reason!

Made with a base of your milk of choice (cow, soy, cashew, you name it), turmeric, cinnamon, ginger and a sweetener like honey, it’s a delicious treat that can easily be changed up by adding other spices like pepper and nutmeg.

Because turmeric is a source of polyphenol curcumin, this beverage has some potential fantastic benefits ranging from soothing an upset tummy to fighting inflammation, the common cold and more.

Traditional Indian drink turmeric milk is golden milk with cinnamon, cloves, pepper and turmeric. On a concrete table, with spices on the background. In a large cup.
