When we bought a backyard trampoline for my boys last year, some of the neighborhood moms sighed… saying they wished they could jump on the trampoline themselves.
“Why can’t you?” I asked. Because they couldn’t jump on the trampoline without piddling! And without hesitation, we all launched into a huge discussion about leakage.
Come on… after kids, a lot of us even have a problem when we sneeze or laugh too hard. You didn’t think “I laughed ’til I peed my pants,” was just a saying for no reason, did you?
Turns out, it’s one of those little secrets women don’t often talk about.. and yet, many of us experience it. In fact, 30 percent of women over the age of 30 experience incontinence, which is a common type of bladder leakage that can be triggered by coughing, sneezing, laughing, lifting or even exercise.
Honestly, it made me a little sad to think that we women would have to sit out of anything because of a little incontinence… we want to have fun, too!
But who says that leakage has to slow you down?
Stop suffering in silence. You’re not the only one out there dealing with leakage… and you don’t have to stop doing what you want to. We all want to be active moms and shouldn’t have to sit on the sidelines because of leakage.
Go ahead. Jump on that trampoline if you want to!
