Easy Crockpot BBQ Pulled Chicken Recipe

September 4, 2018 by Mommy Evolution 65 Comments

I love slow cooker recipes, especially when the weather starts turning chilly. But I especially love Crockpot recipes that take less than 10 minutes of prep.

Had to see what all the hoop-da-la was all about…This is a very good, easy and tasty recipe! I followed it to a “T”. Next time my DH wants me to use chicken thighs instead of drumsticks. I did double the recipe for 3 of us. The sauce never really thickened or got to a thick and sticky glaze. The ease of preparation, as well as being an inexpensive meal is a real seller for this recipe. I served this with Meow’s Ramen Fried “Rice” #34716 which complimented it very nicely. Thanks Jan for sharing this with us.

This dish is less about getting the sauce to thicken than it is to flavor the chicken. If you really want it to stick… mix in a couple of tablespoons of cornmeal with water during the last 20 minutes… it will make the sauce stick like a more traditional BBQ sauce.
