DIY Aromatherapy Pillow with Lavender Oil
As a mom, it’s tough to find time for myself.
I often discover ways to steal moments in the day to relax and keep myself centered.
With two boys, I’ve got to be at my best at all times and keep my cool!
Make Your Own Frugal Aromatherapy Pillow with Lavender Oil
To keep that Zen feeling, you can make your own frugal aromatherapy pillow using lavender oil.
It’s incredibly inexpensive and an easy way to build in some reset time for yourself.
To make the neck/shoulder pillow, you will need:
DIY Directions
- To make your personal pillow, fill a tube sock with dry rice so that is about two-thirds to three-quarters full. Be sure to fill it over a container or the sink so you don’t get rice on the floor.
- Add 15-20 drops of lavender oil
- Carefully sew the sock shut to avoid finding rice all over your house for the next six months. Make sure the stitches are close together; you’d be surprised at how easily that rice escapes.
- Microwave for 1-2 minute (make sure the sock and contents are not too hot) and apply as needed to help relieve neck and shoulder tension.
The only way to carve out me time is in the shower. Even then the 3 men in my life still find a way to interrupt.
Ugh. I haven’t had an uninterrupted shower in years!
I carve out Zen everyday moments by mediating in the morning.
I’ve heard so many wonderful things about meditating in the morning. I know I always feel better having meditation after yoga.
I go out on the back porch with my first cup of coffee for some wake up me time in the morning.
I bring my ereader and sit on the bathroom floor with the door locked for about 20 mins.
LMAO! Glad I’m not the only one who tries to use the bathroom as an escape 😀

I really didn’t know it was this easy to make this aromatherapy

It REALLY is that easy. And I even nuke mine in the winter for a minute to warm it up and put it in the freezer as a cool pad for the summer.
