Giraffe Craft Materials
To make this giraffe craft, you’ll need the following materials, many of which you can find at your local Dollar Store.
- Craft Sticks, Jumbo
- Wiggle Eyes
- Craft Felt – Tan, Brown, Gold
- Marker, Black
- Glue Gun and Glue Sticks – Low Temp Works Best
- Acrylic Craft Paint – Gold, Brown
- Paintbrush
- Sponge Dabber

- PATTERNS
Step 1: Gather all materials. To build the giraffe’s body, line up five jumbo craft sticks side by side. Trim additional craft sticks to the same width and glue them across the back to hold the base together.

Tip: You can use liquid craft glue if needed — just allow extra time for drying.
Step 2: Paint the craft stick surface with gold acrylic paint. Let dry completely and add a second coat if needed. You can also use markers, crayons, or colored pencils instead of paint.

Step 3: Print and cut out the giraffe template pieces. Trace the outer ears on gold felt, the inner ears and nose on tan felt, and the horns on brown felt. Cut out all pieces carefully.
Step 4: Glue on two googly eyes. Attach the ears to each side at the top, the horns between the ears, and the nose near the bottom of the face.
Step 5: Add spots by dipping a sponge dabber into brown acrylic paint and stamping them randomly across the giraffe’s face.
