Cardboard Snowflake Craft

Being in Chicago, it just doesn’t feel like the holidays if there isn’t snow on the ground.

I kept looking at the weather reports to see when we were going to get some snow!

I guess I should really be careful about what I wish for… because when we returned from Christmas, sure there was snow on the ground, but there was also more than 3 inches of pure ice on our driveway.

That’s right — the entire driveway was iced over!

Of course, the boys found it hysterical and couldn’t wait to go sliding all over the place.

Kids — wouldn’t expect anything less from them, right?

In fact, they’ve let me know that the best part of recess this week the fact that the snow has actually iced over on the playground — which means they just slide everyone, knocking all of the other kids off of their feet.

This snow craft for kids is really quite easy – so a toddler can participate in the project but older kids will enjoy putting their own spin on the project.
