Blueberry Sugar Body Scrub

July 27, 2016 by Mommy Evolution 16 Comments

Making your own body scrub is relatively (and surprisingly) easy with my DIY blueberry sugar body scrub recipe.

Blueberry Sugar Body Scrub

There’s something wonderfully indulgent about a sugar body scrub.

I know I always love getting them as gifts… but why not make your own homemade body scrub that you can give as gifts!

In our house we call them “Jenny gifts.”

My mom coined the term a while ago — meaning a gift we all love getting but would rarely buy for ourselves. Aren’t those the best gifts anyway?!?

Today we’re going to make blueberry sugar body scrub.

You can make these any time of the season (they don’t have to be fresh blueberries) because you aren’t going to eat them.

Honestly, my Granny always did say she was happy to have frozen blueberries than no blueberries at all. 🙂 This post contains affiliate links.

You can get the blueberry right in the freezer section of your grocery store. Just look in the frozen fruit section. 🙂

This looks so different from every sugar scrub I’ve made before! I’ve never thought of freeze dried fruit in my sugar scrubs! 🙂 Love it!

That’s my concern too. Think it needs a preservative

    Hi Jenny,
Love this idea but does the blueberries stain the skin ?
    Thank you

Really the only stain is when you’re making it… you may want to wear gloves but I’ve never had a problem with the final product.

I bet that smells delicious! Using natural foods and foods for skin health and cleansing is so interesting to me, it feels more… effective. And I really like scrubs. I think I made a brown sugar scrub once. Anyway, this looks much yummier!

how will the blueberries hold up? I’ve got plenty in the freezer but did not want the scrub to go bad with the berrys

How long does this scrub last for? Does it need to be kept in the fridge?

    Hi, Jenny.
    I really love this scrub.
I have not seen this method before.
I usually make mine with very few ingredients. Maybe two ingredients…
But the frozen blueberries just blew me away.
Thanks for this awesome scrub recipe.
