I let my son be a Cub Scout even though I disagree with their stance and he did that for a long time. He had no interest in Boy Scouts as baseball took hold, but I think the lessons of scouting are still with him.

They’re not allowing openly gay scouts yet. They will be voting on this topic some time this week. Right now, kids who are openly gay have been denied their Eagle Scout status or kicked out. It’s time for them to realize that “character-building” doesn’t include exclusion and descrimination.
