Background: After 60 years, an old-fashioned amusement park is closing its doors.
Hoffman’s Playland has hosted this amazing carousel for decades.
How lucky I feel to have shared in its whimsy at night.

Sorry to hear it is closing. What wonderful pictures of the carousel.
It’s such a shame it’s closing. Carousels are wonderful.
Merry Go Rounds make me dizzy! Pretty pictures tho.
Looked wonderful night and such a shame they are closing their doors!!
They are such lovely pictures.
So pretty! I love the details.
Wow, that is sad. I love the Carousel. Would have loved to ride that. Looks like a great place.
Greatful shots!
Thanks for hosting 🙂
That’s sad that it’s closing! 🙁 Lovely photos!
Great shots. There’s something nostalgic about a carousel. Sorry to hear it’s closing.
Have always loved carousels! Apologies, I linked the wrong link at #44, please feel free to delete it!
OOoo, I like your new button! We are just about caught up from our move and beginning to get back in the swing of things. So sad about the amusement park. Your pics are beautiful.
Aww. That’s too bad. Amusement parks, especially one that’s more than 25 years old should never close.
It’s great to be back sharing here. Thanks for continuing to host the weekly WW linky party! Love your new blog button, by the way. 🙂
Beautiful photos!
I love carousels! Do you know why they are closing? It makes me sad to just think about it.
Great photos. What a cool carousel.
Great shots! I love carousels!

Beautiful pics So sad it has to close 🙁 Happy WW
Love carousels! Our toddlers are finally getting brave enough to give them a try, and it’s been so fun to see how they react. The 2 year old loves it, the 16 month old still hangs on for dear life!
Beautiful shots of the carousel.
There is something magical about carousels. Especially at night, or when there is no one on them.
Glad you stopped by my site and told me about your link party, which I have just joined. The fair was just in town a couple of weeks ago and the grandkids loved riding on the carousel.
thanks for hosting!
What a lovely carousel and gorgeous pictures! So sad that the park is closing its doors after such a long time. I would have loved to see an old-fashioned amusement park. You have been lucky indeed.
thanks for hosting…what a magical carousel ride.
Lovely. There’s something about the magic of a carousel that never wanes. 🙂
Your camera gets up close and personal in the dark, very nice!
Thanks for hosting. Great pictures – they are beautiful!
These are great shots!
There’s a wonderful one in Cannon Beach, OR that I just discovered. I love carousels.
Great pictures. Carousels always remind me of childhood.
Looks like a fun trip, I know that Kira loves them.
Thank you for linking at our Wordless Wednesday @CraftySpices Hope you have a lovely rest of the week.
It always makes me sad when a carousel closes. There was one by my house until last year. The mall that housed the carousel was bulldozed and new stores are opening. The stores are great but it still makes me a little weepy thinking about the carousel that I rode as a child.
such a shame it’s closing..it’s really beautiful
Awww that’s too bad it’s closing! I’m glad you got to enjoy one last ride!
did you get to go on it? was it fun?
It’s sad that it is closing. I am yet to take my 2-year old for a ride in one ;o)
I love Carousels, and your right especially at night with the lightening. To bad they have to come to the end.
Thanks for hosting and stopping by

Beautiful pictures. I went on one this summer and got so motion sick. I’m getting old, I can’t even go on a swing set or a carousel without getting nauseous.
I haven’t been on a carousel in years! This is making me nostalgic.
Lovely photos 🙂
I haven’t been on a carousel in ages!
I really do love carousels. They remind me of being a kid.
I like all the colour and ornamentation …great captures. Such a pity they are going….
Thanks for sharing on Mandarin Orange Monday:)
