Which Games Console Is Best For Online Gaming?
My family are video game nuts. When it was just my husband and I, we would spend rainy afternoons playing Halo in campaign mode together. Geeky enough for you?
But now my husband uses gaming as a way to steal away from the family for a late Friday night and reset from the week. He absolutely loves playing online because it gives him a chance to trash talk and generally blow up stuff. It’s a great release from the stress of being a parent.

Whether you’re a parent or a kid, when it comes to serious gamers, they will usually fall into one of two categories: those who play alone, and those who love online gaming. The best online gaming services are the ones that help you connect with people you don’t know, to bring an entirely new experience to your game. At present, all the major game consoles offer online gaming. So which is better: the Xbox 360, the PS4, or the Wii?
Xbox 360: The King of Online Gaming
No matter which gamer you ask, chances are they will tell you that the Xbox 360 is a definite winner when it comes to online gaming. It offers a smooth gaming platform and a good communication platform for players as well. The only drawback is that that you have to have an Xbox Live subscription to access online gaming, but it is possible that it’s because of this subscription fee that Microsoft can offer such a wonderful online experience to their loyal customers.
What About The Rest?
If you don’t want to buy the Xbox 360, the next best thing would be the Playstation 4, which has the advantage of allowing you to play online for free (to a limited extent). However, the general online experience of the Playstation 4 is not nearly as good as the Xbox 360 – both the shopping and gaming experiences are less developed than on the 360.
If you want a decent online experience, then the Nintendo Wii is certainly out of the question, as it doesn’t have a true social gaming element due to the fact that there simply aren’t enough users (the Wii is very popular, but not with online gamers).
Some Things To Consider When Choosing a Console
That being said, this doesn’t mean that it is absolutely a must for you to buy the Xbox 360. When you choose your games console, be sure to consider the bigger picture.
Some online games are exclusive to a particular console, and if you want to play those particular games, then you have no option but to buy the console that you can play it on. However, if you spend a lot of time playing alone as much as you play online, then you may want to seriously consider the Playstation 3 instead of the Xbox 360, as it offers an excellent offline gaming experience overall. The Wii, on the other hand, is excellent for real life social gaming with family and friends.
So the answer to the question of which game console is the best for online gaming is definitely the Xbox 360, but before you head out and buy that console, think about the kinds of games you like to play and which console you can play them on.
We like the Wii because it used to be geared for kids and we currently have a bunch of games for the Wii. I love all of the Mario games. We still have an old Playstation 2 and have some games for it as well.
My nieces and nephew are begging for a gaming system and your review comes at the perfect time as I am doing my research. Thanks!
