The main lobby of the Museum of Science & Industry is quite an awesome place. Not only will you be awestruck by Sue the Dinosaur, be sure not to overlook the impressive architecture.

We recently went to our Museum of Science. It was a great time for the whole family.
Isn’t that such a wonderful place? We could get lost in there — in the best sense of the word.
Wow! This is the first time I see Sue in pictures! I had read about Sue in a Chicago Field Musuem in the book Bone Hunt!
She is QUITE impressive. And the fact that she’s a girl…. well, girls just rock. 😉
Awesome! I’m instantly reminded of the Ben Stiller movie, Night at the Museum.
LOL! That’s so true. And there’s another Night at the Museum movie coming out this Christmas, right?
Gorgeous. Would love to visit sometime. Have only ever been to the airport to connect to someplace else.
Time to make that connection last longer… like maybe a few days. The Chicago museums are among the world’s finest for sure!
Hello,
what an amazing museum! Your pictures are very impressive!!!
Have a nice Wednesday

So cool! My boys would absolutely love to visit Sue. 🙂
Jennifer — Let me know when your flight arrives 🙂 Sue is really awesome. And then on the second floor they have a huge multi-room dinosaur display. Absolutely fantastic!
That looks like an impressive place! Would love to visit some day!
Hope you’ll stop by and link up 🙂

It’s quite impressive and I really do encourage you to come check it out when you’re in Chicago.
Dinosaurs are amazing. Thanks for hosting, have a great day!!
I guess I need to visit Chicago. That museum looks wonderful.
Absolutely visit Chicago! It has the most amazing museums around.
I’ve heard great things about this museum. Can’t wait to visit Chicago!
Wonderful pictures!
Very cool. The architecture in there is incredible.
Impressive is definitely the word for that place. I wish I could visit!
I live a couple hours west of the city, and now I want to see that place even more than I already did! Thanks for sharing your photos, and for hosting the linky.
If you’re just a couple hours away it’s easy to get into the city! I live an hour and a half north and we pop down there all the time on the weekends. Definitely go and have loads of fun 🙂
We’re two hours out, so not too bad. Our car is a real gas hog, unfortunately, so it’s a good $50 in gas round-trip, otherwise we’d go way more often (averaging twice a year, right now – lived here for almost four years). When our now-two-and-a-half-year-old is a little bit older, we’ll start doing more things, I’m sure.
The Field Museum in Chicago is one of my favorite places to visit. We used to go there on field trips when I was in grade school. We took our girls there when they were little, and now that they’re older, they go there with their friends (and me). We participated in a murder mystery at the Field Museum by a group out of Chicago. It was kind of a scavenger hunt where we found clues and then used them to figure out who dun it. It was a lot of fun. They have those every couple of months.
