Isn’t that such a wonderful place? We could get lost in there — in the best sense of the word.

Wow! This is the first time I see Sue in pictures! I had read about Sue in a Chicago Field Musuem in the book Bone Hunt!

Awesome! I’m instantly reminded of the Ben Stiller movie, Night at the Museum.

Time to make that connection last longer… like maybe a few days. The Chicago museums are among the world’s finest for sure!

Jennifer — Let me know when your flight arrives 🙂 Sue is really awesome. And then on the second floor they have a huge multi-room dinosaur display. Absolutely fantastic!

If you’re just a couple hours away it’s easy to get into the city! I live an hour and a half north and we pop down there all the time on the weekends. Definitely go and have loads of fun 🙂

We’re two hours out, so not too bad. Our car is a real gas hog, unfortunately, so it’s a good $50 in gas round-trip, otherwise we’d go way more often (averaging twice a year, right now – lived here for almost four years). When our now-two-and-a-half-year-old is a little bit older, we’ll start doing more things, I’m sure.

The Field Museum in Chicago is one of my favorite places to visit. We used to go there on field trips when I was in grade school. We took our girls there when they were little, and now that they’re older, they go there with their friends (and me). We participated in a murder mystery at the Field Museum by a group out of Chicago. It was kind of a scavenger hunt where we found clues and then used them to figure out who dun it. It was a lot of fun. They have those every couple of months.
