I have missed wearing them the last couple of years (pregnancy, baby, breastfeeding), so now I have some out of storage and back in my closet. I admit to going out with Baby Boy and Hun in heels, just because, but I don’t often wear them if we’re going to be out long. Wearing heels, especially now that I’m a stay-at-home-mother help me to feel feminine, restore some sanity, confidence, and I also feel beautiful. Nonetheless, I don’t wear them on outings with just Baby Boy and I, because of the running and the carrying!! 🙂

We are definitely made from the same cloth, Christy. I’ve never been a huge high heel fan. I see how pretty they are. And if I wear them for a night out, I’m reminded why I don’t own many pairs 🙂

I think it’s common sense, too, Judith. I gave up on high heels once I became noticeably pregnant. The last thing I wanted to do was topple over! And now that I have two boys… forget about it!

I’m so thankful I’m working from home. I do miss the pretty high heels sometimes… and then my boys quickly remind me why I don’t. I’d rather be participating with them 🙂

She was crying. I went over to them and asked if I could help. She said that she had fallen because she was trying to carry her son as well as bags , out to the car. I helped them up and had the child stand and walk a little. The crying did not become piercing screams, so we decided that he was ok to go to his childcare. Guess what she had on her feet! You guessed it! Four inch heels. I suggested that she not wear the heals when carrying the child next time. Maybe I was too blunt, but really, where is the common sense in that!

I have very high arches and heels are super uncomfortable so that’s only a couple days a week. When I’m home it’s ballet flats, flip flops, or sneakers. Wearing these overly high heels is just another thing I’m “supposed” to be doing that I won’t be doing anytime soon.
