Try incorporating one of the ideas from Jennifer Carver of Spaceships and Laser Beams in your Valentine’s Day celebrations to surprise the special little ones in your life!

Sweet idea #1: Treat the special children in your life with a “Love Day” breakfast!

Set a festive table using patterned Valentine’s Day themed plates, cups, napkins and red or pink cutlery.

Add a sweet favor at each place setting such as a small box of chocolates, heart balloon or package of conversation hearts.

Delight them even more by transforming typical breakfast food into a Valentine’s Day feast!

Use heart shaped cookie cutters to create heart shaped pancakes and sausage patties.

Add pink or red food coloring to milk and whipping cream.

If your children would enjoy frosting and decorating them, have small cups of frosting and bowls of sprinkles, sanding sugar and treats on hand.

Sweet idea #4: Heart attack their bedroom doors.

Cut out a variety of cardstock or construction paper hearts.

Write something you love about each child on enough hearts to cover their door.

    We are in transition between homes right now so it’ll be a big heart-shaped box of candy for each. they look forward to this so much because we are not a family that eats much sugar…

    1. Ah, it’s always special to get heart-shaped candy. I’m always surprised at how my kids remember small tokens like that. They may seem small to us but they’re BIG to them 😀
