Chocolate Chip Banana Oatmeal Cookies Recipe

Hearty yet soft, these cookies are so filling they can easily be a fabulous breakfast cookie!

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 6 Tbsp butter, softened
  • 6 Tbsp cream cheese
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 egg
  • 1½ tsp vanilla
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ cup mashed overripe banana (approx. 1 large banana)
  • 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine dry ingredients (flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon).
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine butter, cream cheese and sugars.
  4. Add egg, vanilla and mashed banana. Be sure to mix well, working out any large lumps.
  5. Fold in oats and chocolate chips.
  6. Using a large cookie scoop, drop onto cookie sheet.
  7. Bake 10-12 minutes until lightly golden brown.
  8. Let cookies set for a minute or two before moving to a cooling rack.
