What are Key Limes?

Key limes, also known as Mexican limes or West Indian limes, are a type of citrus fruit that is smaller and rounder than the more common Persian lime.

They are named after the Florida Keys, where they were first cultivated, but they are also grown in other parts of the world, including Mexico and Central America.

Key limes are known for their distinctive flavor, which is more tart and aromatic than the flavor of Persian limes.
