This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Puerto Rico, The All-Star Island for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.
I am dreaming of lush landscapes. I am dreaming of stunning beaches. I am dreaming of exotic dishes. I am dreaming of Puerto Rico. A friend of mine took her family to Puerto Rico last month. When I saw her post on Facebook, I instantly thought, boy would I love to go to Puerto Rico someday. And so I thought I’d share my “must-do” itinerary for any vacation to Puerto Rico.
1. Relax on World-Class Beaches: Did you know that Puerto Rico has 270 miles of coastline? And not only that, Puerto Rico was cited in the Top 10 Beaches from Travel Channel, including its Flamenco Beach in Culebra, which is often cited as one of the best beaches in the world. 2. Float in Glow-in-the-Dark Water: Yes. You read that right. Puerto Rico’s Mosquito Bay is a rare ecosystem where the bay water glows neon green in the dark — also known as bioluminescent. You can turn a simple evening into an unforgettable experience by kayaking out into the waters at night or taking an electric pontoon boat out into the bay. How cool is that?!? 3. Walk Amid a Rainforest: I have always wanted to visit an actual rain forest. Turns out that Puerto Rico has the only rainforest under the U.S. National Park Service. Visit El Yunque and you can hike the trails, take in the waterfalls and climb to the clouds. Sounds dreamy, doesn’t it? And I let’s not forgot the wonderful local delicacies, famous Rums, impressive golf courses or old world charm and history of this spectacular island.
